Music has many benefits, especially while working out. It helps keep you motivated, helps distract you from what you’re doing, and can even up your tempo when the beat changes. It’s a sad, sad day when I forget my headphones when I go to the gym!
I have a pretty eclectic taste in music. In all honestly, I listen to most anything, and my playlists are often a mix of rock, pop, rap, and metal. When I work out, I like to listen to things that are fast-paced, melodic, etc. since those types of things distract me from the general displeasure of working out (I kid, I kid…sort of).
It’s my goal to post my playlist every week in the hopes that I help someone discover some new music (but let’s be real, I don’t listen to “breakthrough” artists or anything, so that chance is probably pretty slim) and so that I can also go back and re-discover what I listened to at the end of the year!
