Well, we all survived the first week of the new year! How is everyone doing? I think that historically, the first week or so of the new year can be a rocky start. Adjusting to going back to work or school, or adjusting to getting your kids back to school. So, don’t panic if you don’t get off to a strong start. It’s totally okay to fall off the wagon a few times (it might even run you over, back up, and run you over again) but as long as you get back up again, that’s what counts!
Personally, I got off to a shaky start. It was pretty difficult to adjust to going back to work (it had been my first full week back at work in a couple of weeks) while trying to get back into the swing of eating according to my meal plan and working exercise in. I definitely messed up a few times – but like I said, I got back up again. I think my biggest accomplishment was that I packed my lunch (and ate it!) every single day!
Honestly, this weekend I didn’t do a whole lot. I did get a haircut though – first one since August!
I also went for a walk on Saturday and hit up the gym today. I did the first day of Couch to 5k and didn’t quit or die or pass out!
This makes me hopeful for the next day in the training! I also ordered a few new workout outfits (oooops) but to be honest, they’re from Wal-Mart and I think I paid $75 for everything that I ordered (which was a lot). Who knows how long they’ll last though. Somehow, I lost 5 lbs this week – the most I have in a while. I seem to go through spurts where I lose a pound or two, and then drop a lot. I’m not complaining, though!
I also discovered Making a Murderer on Netflix. Obsessed already. In fact – excuse me, I’m going to go start some meal prep and then binge-watch a few more episodes.
(Oh, and here’s my playlist for this week!)
