I have the honor of participating in the Global Running Day Linkup hosted by Kristen over at Jonesin’ for a Run! Here are some questions I was asked about running:
Why do you run? To burn off the crazy! No, in all seriousness, I like it because it’s a great stress relief and it makes me feel strong!
How do you plan to celebrate Global Running Day? Running, of course! Personal training session in the morning and probably a run at home!
How many miles have you run so far this year? Do you have a mileage goal for the year? I have no idea how many I’ve done this year – I should keep better track! Maybe 50, 60, 75? My goal is 300 for the year!
What big events do you have on the race calendar so far this year? I’ve got a 5k coming up this weekend (Race for the Place) and I plan on doing a 5k for a month for the remainder of the year!
Before I leave for a run I must have: Keys and my iPhone for music!
Do you track your runs? If so what do you use? Yup! I use my Fitbit Blaze to keep track of all my activity.
Who is your favorite running partner? Myself! I need that me time.
What races have you run so far this year? I have run the Beech Brook/Fleet Feet 5k!
If you have to give someone one piece of advice about running, what would it be? It’s hard, and you’ll get better. Don’t give up!!
Describe your relationship with running in one word: Oscillating! Sometimes I love it and sometimes I don’t!
I also decided that I am going to run a 5k every month for the rest of the year! So far, here’s what I’m thinking:
June: Race for the Place
July: Run for the Pierogies
August: Hofbrauhaus Cleveland 5k
September: Helping Hands Hero Run
October: Scarecrow Scurry 5k
November: Cleveland Turkey Trot
December: Reindeer Run
Share with me: do you have any races planned this year?
